Callely remains in Garda custody

The former Fianna Fáil Government Minister of State Ivor Callely remains in Garda custody this morning.

He is being questioned in connection with an investigation into mobile phone receipts.

Detectives searched three premises yesterday, including his holiday home as they looked for evidence as part of the investigation.

The 53-year-old must be either released or charged by later this afternoon.
