A man in his 20s is due back before Cork District Court today, charged over the killing of another man in County Cork on Thursday night.

Twenty-three-year-old Tony Leahy, of Sirius House, Cork Road, Passage West, was refused bail and remanded in custody on Saturday when he was charged with assault causing serious harm to Jonathan Kenneally Daly.

Father of two Mr Kenneally Daly, aged 25, died after he was stabbed following a row at an apartment block in Passage West.
