No new date for talks as Vita Cortex workers continue sit-in

Talks at the Labour Relations Commission in Cork aimed at solving the dispute amongst management and staff at the Vita Cortex plant over redundancy payments, adjourned last night without agreement.

No date has been set for the talks to reconvene.

Thirty-two workers have said they will continue their sit-in at the foam manufacturing plant until they receive their payments.

The company has claimed inability to pay.

The sit-in has been ongoing for the last five weeks.
