Water may be off for days after contamination: Limerick Co Council
Limerick County Council has said some households in the West of the county may have no water for several days, as efforts continue to fix a contamination problem in the River Deel.
Water restrictions were put in place on Thursday when oil from a commercial property entered the river.
Approximately 1,500 households in Askeaton, Foynes, Shanagolden, Creeves and surrounding areas have had their water shut off.
Tankers are now in place supplying clean water to those affected by the restrictions.
