The search will resume this morning for three of the five fishermen, who are believed to have drowned off the coast of West Cork, after their trawler sank in heavy seas last Sunday.

Yesterday, the bodies of two of the crew members of the Tit Bonhomme vessel were recovered.

They were identified as 26-year-old Egyptian native Attia Shaban and 21-year-old Kevin Kershaw - who was on his first-ever fishing-boat trip when tragedy struck.

Speaking to reporters last night, Kevin's father Patrick described his son as an amazing person.

"To put it in a nutshell, he was a star," he said.

"He was doing good things in life, he would never do you a bad turn.

"If he stopped you to say hello, he wouldn't just say hello, he would be there for 10 minutes talking to you."
