Second body recovered near Union Hall identified
The second fisherman recovered from the water at Union Hall in Cork today been identified as that of Irishman Kevin Kershaw.
The 21-year-old student from Dublin had been living with an aunt in Clonakilty, Co Cork.
He was interested in taking up a career at sea and the doomed trip was Mr Kershaw’s first time working at sea.
Earlier, the remains of a 26-year-old Egyptian crewman were recovered by a naval dive team close to the wreckage of the vessel the Tit Bonhomme trawler, which went down in heavy seas last Sunday.
Members of the Egyptian community gathered to pray as his body was removed by hearse.
The search operation to locate three other crew members is continuing.
