HSE plan means 555 bed closures and cuts to frontline services

The HSE is to close more than 550 public nursing home beds and has warned that money for 'Fair Deal' scheme could run out early this year.

The Executive has published its service plan for 2012 warning that the bulk of the Budget cuts it has to make this year will impact directly on frontline services.
