Man hospitalised after Waterford stabbing

A man is being treated in Waterford Regional Hospital after being stabbed in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened at around 4am in Waterford City Centre.

The 23-year-old received wounds to his neck, face and back.

An 18-year-old was arrested a short time later at Jenkins Lane Car Park

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the attack to come forward.
