The brother of model and TV presenter Glenda Gilson has appeared in court after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest this morning.
Damien Gilson, who has an address at Raglan Road, failed to show at Dublin District Court this morning on charges of cannabis possession and driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
Mr Gilson denies a total of five charges, including drug possession, dangerous driving in the Phoenix Park and driving under the influence of an intoxicant at Diswellstown Road, North Dublin - all on September 8, 2010.
He was due to appear in court this morning but when he failed to appear, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
This afternoon, his solicitor Michael O'Connor explained to Judge Timothy Lucey that there had been a mix-up about the date.
The judge cancelled the bench warrant and adjourned the case until Monday week.
He asked Damien Gilson: "Are you going to turn up?", to which he replied "Yes", before the judge warned the accused that he had caused a lot of trouble already.
