A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Limerick city this morning.

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Limerick city this morning.

The victim, a man in his late 20s, was stabbed on Newenham Street. He was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where his injuries are said to be not life-threatening.

The suspect is being held at Henry Street garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
