Vita Cortex owners warn of further job loss risks
The owners of the Vita Cortex plant in Cork are warning that the ongoing row over redundancy payments to former staff could result in further job cuts.
Some 32 staff lost their jobs in December and have been staging a sit-in at the plant over the company's failure to pay redundancy.
In a statement, the company said it is losing customers because of the ongoing negative publicity.
Sixty people are still employed at Vita Cortex in Cork, Athlone and Belfast.
The company insists it is unable to pay redundancy, rather than refusing to pay.
