Lagan Brick workers to attend LRC talks

Former workers at a building materials company in Co Cavan have agreed to attend talks at the Labour Relations Commission (LRC) this Friday.

Staff at Lagan Brick in Kingscourt have been staging a protest at the factory's entrance since it closed with only a few hours' notice on December 15.

Yesterday, management at the company said it regretted the decision to close but had tried all other possible avenues to remain viable.
