Govt 'may help communities take over nursing homes'

Public nursing homes which face closure could be thrown a lifeline, after Health Minister James Reilly said the Government could help local communities to take control of such facilities.

James Reilly had previously warned that although care in many community nursing homes is excellent, facilities which are not financially viable will be forced to close next year.
