Viable explosive device made safe in Dublin
The Army has made safe a viable Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Dublin this afternoon.
An army bomb disposal team was deployed to a private residence on Kilcronan Avenue in Clondalkin in response to a request from the Gardaí at about 2pm.
A viable device was found outside the building and was made safe at about 3.15pm, without a controlled explosion being carried out.
The device has been removed for further inspection.
