Motorists warned of increased traffic

AA Roadwatch is warning motorists to expect extra traffic on the country's roads today as many people prepare to celebrate the New Year.

Drivers are also being advised to slow down as road conditions are expected to be very wet with a chance of some ground frost later tonight.

Those planning on heading out tonight are once again reminded to never drink and drive, and to plan your night out to ensure you get home safely.
