Govt intends to examine Constitutional issues in 2012
The Taoiseach is promising Constitutional issues, such as gay marriage and the way the President is elected, will be dealt with next year.
The Coalition has already agreed to holding two referendums on childrens' rights and the abolition of the Seanad.
A third may be needed on the European Inter-governmental Agreement to combat the eurozone debt crisis if the Attorney General says it is needed.
The Taoiseach said a raft of other possible changes to the Constitution could be put to the people in 2013.
Mr Kenny said: "The Constitutional convention will be set up and that will look at a range of other issues that have already been published.
"It will look at the presidential elections, voting rights, gay marriages and a whole long list of things. The intention would be to have a Constitution day within 12 months of that being set up."
