Gardaí waiting to question Listowel stabbing victim

Investigations are continuing in Co Kerry this morning following a stabbing in Listowel yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí were called to a house in Meelish Close at around 12.30pm where a man in his 40s was found with serious stab wounds.

It is believed he turned up at a neighbour's house with a knife stuck in his throat, looking for help.

He was rushed to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee where he underwent emergency surgery.

His condition is said to be serious but not life-threatening.

Gardaí are waiting to question the man regarding the incident and say no arrests have been made.
