Man critically ill after Kerry stabbing
A man is in a critical but stable condition following a stabbing in Listowel, Co Kerry earlier today.
Gardaí were called to a house in Meelish Close in the town at about 12.30pm this afternoon where a man was found with serious injuries.
A house has been sealed off and the Garda Forensic Unit is examining the area.
The man is understood to be in his 40s and has been living in North Kerry for a number of years.
He is being treated Tralee General Hospital.
House-to-house enquiries are continuing this evening. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area between midnight last night at 12.30pm today to contact them at Listowel on 068 21000.
No arrests have been made.
