One man is feared dead after a house fire in Co. Wexford overnight.

Man feared dead following Wexford house fire

One man is feared dead after a house fire in Co. Wexford overnight.

The alarm was raised at the house at Tinnecarrig in Newbawn, outside New Ross, at around 10pm.

Firefighters from New Ross tackled the blaze for several hours and a man's body is understood to have been discovered.

However, for safety reasons, it can't be recovered until this morning.

A technical examination of the scene is underway to try and establish the cause of the blaze.
