Gardaí release man in Mayo cold case murder probe

A man in his forties has been released without charge, after being questioned over the disappearance of a Mayo woman 11 years ago.

Sandra Collins was 29 when she was last seen in Killala in December 2000.

Investigating officers yesterday arrested and questioned the man in Ballina.

He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
