A man in his 70s has been arrested by gardaí in Limerick following the discovery of a gun and ammunition in the city.

A man in his 70s has been arrested by gardaí in Limerick following the discovery of a gun and ammunition in the city.

The firearm and ammunition were recovered by gardaí at a house in Sean Heuston Place at around 7.15am today.
