A court will tell Sean Quinn's wife today whether she has to repay €3m borrowed in her name from the former Anglo Irish Bank.

A court will tell Sean Quinn's wife today whether she has to repay €3m borrowed in her name from the former Anglo Irish Bank.

Patricia Quinn has said she was under the "undue influence" of her husband when she signed up for the 2006 loan.

IBRC, formerly Anglo, is trying to secure summary judgement for a loan it says was issued to the Quinns to decorate their home.

Patricia Quinn claims she was a homemaker for 36 years, did not understand what she was signing up for and never got the benefit of the money.

Her lawyers say it may sound astonishing, but it is the truth.

IBRC says Patricia Quinn's defence that she had no business savvy is not credible as she was a director of 63 companies and company secretary of 10.
