New website to advise of flying rights

The Commission for Aviation Regulation has launched its new consumer website to advise passengers of their rights.

Flightrights.ie will provide passengers with advice and options if flights are cancelled or delayed, or boarding is denied.

It also provides information for those with reduced mobility who are travelling.

The Commission said that a July 2008 European law - which established rights for disabled persons - obliges tour operators, air carriers and others, to provide quality and practical help to the disabled.
