Gardaí appeal for witnesses to robbery of security van

Gardaí investigating the robbery of a security van in Dublin on Wednesday are appealing for witnesses.

A man armed with a handgun approached the van, which was making a delivery to a post office on Errigal Road in the Crumlin area at 4.40pm.

He made off with a box containing a quantity of cash before making a getaway on a moped being driven by a second man.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area of Errigal Road between 4-5pm on Wednesday to contact them at Crumlin garda station on 01 666 6200.
