A man who flew to Spain to avoid giving evidence during the trial of two men accused of taking part in a “tiger kidnapping” has been jailed for two weeks for “contempt of court”.

A man who flew to Spain to avoid giving evidence during the trial of two men accused of taking part in a “tiger kidnapping” has been jailed for two weeks for “contempt of court”.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard that the man flew to Spain on a one way ticket in the middle of the trial and arrived back on Thursday evening.
