Gardaí renew appeal for information about fatal assault on taxi driver
Gardaí investigating an assault in Dublin city centre last week, after which a taxi driver died, are renewing an appeal for information.
The victim, a 41-year-old man who was originally from Nigeria, died in hospital after being attacked in the early hours of Monday, November 21, on Pearse Street.
Gardaí wish to contact a taxi driver who picked up three men and a woman on Pearse Street outside the Library at about 12.30am.
It is understood the group was dropped off near the junction of Dame Street and Sycamore Street.
Officers believe this man might be able to assist them with their inquiries.
