A man has been shot dead in Cherry Orchard in Dublin.

A man has been shot dead in Cherry Orchard in Dublin.

The incident happened shortly after 7am today.

It is understood the man was sitting in a van at the time of the shooting.

A crime scene has been cordoned off in Cherry Orchard Avenue.
