€45k cannabis haul seized in Wexford

Herbal cannabis valued at €45,000 has been seized by customs officers in Wexford.

Officers discovered 3.7 kilos of the drug in a van disembarking from a ferry from France yesterday.

The cannabis was concealed in drums of paint.

A Polish man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and questioned at Wexford Garda Station, before being released.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
