Enable Ireland opens centre for disabled children

A new state-of-the-art centre for children with disabilities has been opened in Co. Cavan.

Known as ‘Hillside’, the facility has been developed by Enable Ireland in partnership with the HSE at Rathcorrick.

The centre will provide services for children under 18, and a one-stop shop where assessment and intervention can take place.

Paediatric clinics will also be held there which means that families have access to their medical appointments, rather than having to attend the hospital out-patient department.
