Man held after suspected petrol bombing on Garda station

A man has been arrested after a suspected petrol bomb attack on Castlebar Garda Station in Mayo.

The attack happened at about 4am this morning when a man in his 20s entered the station and threw what is believed to have been a petrol bomb.

Two members of the Garda Siochana were on duty at the time but nobody was injured.

The man was arrested a short distance away and brought to Westport Garda Station.
