Gardaí contact Bandon victim's family in England
Gardaí investigating the recent killings in Bandon have made contact with the family of John Forrester in England, who have confirmed his identity.
His remains were recovered from the River Bandon in West Cork earlier in the week by gardaí investigating the killing of Jonathan Duke in the town last weekend.
It is understood that the 42-year-old, who was originally from Blackpool, had been stabbed and had his hands and feet bound before his body was dumped in the river.
Gardaí are renewing their appeal to anyone with information to contact them in confidence.
