Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Tallaght assault

Gardaí in Dublin are today appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Tallaght at around 8pm last night.

A 40-year-old man was taken to Tallaght Hospital after being beaten at an apartment at Uppercross Court on the Old Blessington Road.

It is understood that he sustained serious head injuries.

A woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s were arrested at the scene, which has been sealed off for a technical examination.

They are being held at Tallaght Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
