Large crowd gathers as two charged with Bandon murder

A large crowd gathered outside Bandon District Court in Co Cork tonight as a woman and man were charged with murder following the death of a 27-year-old man in the town at the weekend.

The body of Jonathan Duke was recovered from the River Bandon on Sunday night.

Ciprian Grozavu and Catherine O'Connor were tonight charged with his murder.

The two, both aged in their 30s and with Bandon addresses, were detained shortly after the discovery of Mr Duke's remains.
