Five arrested after Tipperary gardaí seize cash and ammunition

Five people have been arrested after gardaí seized cash, ammunition and a sawn-off shot gun in Co Tipperary.

The discovery was made by patrol duty gardaí after they stopped and searched a car on the M7 motorway at Knockalton yesterday morning.

It is understood the sum of cash seized was not significant.

Three men, aged 19, 21 and 22 and the two women, aged 19 and 20 were arrested at the scene and are currently being held at Nenagh garda station for questioning.
