Solicitor pleads guilty to 2007 theft

A Dublin solicitor has pleaded guilty to stealing over €9,000 from a woman almost five years ago.
Liam Davis of Avondale Lawn, in Blackrock was struck by a man as he left Dublin District Court on bail this morning.
The court heard the €9,259 he took on February 8, 2007 from Martina Mulligan was stamp duty and it was passed on to a third party.
He was been remanded on bail by Judge Timothy Lucey until January when the full facts of the case will be heard.
As the 57-year-old solicitor left the court room a man struck him a blow and said "that's for my da".
