A 38-year-old man has died after he was pulled out of a vehicle and assaulted in a lunchtime attack in Co Tyrone.

A 38-year-old man has died after he was pulled out of a vehicle and assaulted in a lunchtime attack in Co Tyrone.

Two people – a 35-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman – have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the fatal incident in Dungannon.

The victim was dragged from a green vehicle in the Castlehill area of the town at around 1pm. He was then assaulted.

The two suspects are being questioned by detectives.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the dead man.
