A Co Galway man pleaded guilty at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin today to possession of explosives and a gun last January.

Thomas Hughes (gaed 40), of An Tuairin, Dublin Road, Tuam,pleaded guilty to the unlawful possession of a 6mm Flobert calibre Alfa Proj model revolver at his home on January 26 last.
