Rail services closed in south Dublin and along east coast

Serious disruption is set to hit rail services on the southside of Dublin and further along the east coast.

Irish Rail has said the severe flooding earlier this week damaged the ground around a pier at the Dodder Bridge, and it has had to close the line between Grand Canal Dock and Sydney Parade.

It means Rosslare and Gorey train services will operate as far as Bray, with bus transfers from there to Connolly Station in Dublin.

Dart services will operate from Howth and Malahide to Grand Canal Dock, and from Sydney Parade to Bray/Greystones, with a reduced frequency on the southside of Dublin city.

There will be no Dart service between Grand Canal Dock and Sydney Parade, and Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets for anyone affected.

Full details are on the Irish Rail website.
