Cork Gardaí arrest man in connection with Macroom assault

Gardaí in Co. Cork have arrested a man in connection with the death of Don Geasley last month.

42-year-old Mr Geasley's body was found at Masseystown, Macroom, on September 15 last and a post mortem examination confirmed that he died a violent death as a result of an assault.

The 30-year-old man being held for questioning was detained this morning.

He is being held at Bandon Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
