Latest poll indicates commanding lead for Gallagher

With just days to go until the Presidential election, it is looking increasingly likely that Seán Gallagher will become the next President of Ireland.

According to the latest opinion poll in this morning's Irish Times, the independent candidate has 40% support, some15 points ahead of his nearest rival Michael D Higgins on 25%.
