Improvised explosive device made safe in Clare

A viable improvised explosive device (IED) has been made safe in Co Clare overnight.

The device was found at a farm in Ardnacrusha in the county.

The Army Bomb Disposal Team arrived on the scene at 1am and made the device safe without the need for a controlled explosion.
