Gardaí arrest two women in Dublin after finding firearm

Two women in their 20's have been charged in connection with the search of a house in west Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí searched a house in the Dunsink area and found a sawn-off shotgun and a quantity of ammunition, as well as a large amount of cosmetic products.

The two women were charged under the Theft act, and are due to appear in court next Wednesday, October 26.

A 40-year-old woman who was arrested as part of the same operation has been released without charge and a file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions
