Protester Treacy set for court again
The High Court is to give 65-year-old ESB protester Teresa Treacy an opportunity to get out of jail this afternoon.
The Co Offaly woman has spent the last 24 days in the Dochas centre of Mountjoy in Dublin after breaching a court order by attempting to stop the ESB from laying a power line across her land.
The defiant Ms Treacy said she did it to protect her trees at her home in Clonmore, Tullamore.
She is to be brought back before the court this afternoon to see if she is now willing to obey the court's instructions after her stint in jail.
