Higgins accuses department of unfairly ruling out disability claimants

A Fine Gael MEP has accused the Department of Social Protection of deliberately disqualifying genuine applicants for Disability Allowance by ignoring medical advice.

Jim Higgins said the department is unfairly ruling out people with genuine injuries or illnesses without even having the claimants physically examined.
