Man for court in connection with killing of Galway publican

A man is due to appear at Galway District Court later, charged in connection with the killing of John Kenny last weekend.

The 56-year-old school teacher and part-time publican died following a violent assault at his pub in Oughterard.

He was buried yesterday in Oughterard.

The man in his late 30s is due to appear at a special sitting of Galway District Court at midday.
