Kildare road accident kills two teenagers

Two teenagers have been killed in a two-car collision near Kilcullen in County Kildare.

A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman both died in the crash on the road from Naas to Kilcullen at Brownstown, shortly before 3pm this afternoon.

Two women in their 30s who were travelling in the second car are being treated at Naas General Hospital.

The road remains closed while Gardaí carry out a forensic examination.

Gardaí are appealing for anybody who was travelling on the Naas to Kilcullen Road between 2.30pm and 3pm this afternoon to contact them at Naas on 045 884300.
