Reilly: Stoppages posing danger to patients
The Health Minister James Reilly has said the four-hour work stoppage by nurses at Limerick's Mid Western Regional Hospital poses a potential danger to patients.
Minister Reilly said the stoppage was "unsafe, unsound and unwarranted".
Nurses are protesting at overcrowding in the hospital and claim that it is affecting patient safety.
But Minister Reilly told the Dáil that it is the action taken by the nurses which poses a risk to patients at the hospital.
