Customs Officers at Dublin Airport have seized drugs with an estimated value of a quarter of a million euro.

Up to 2.5kgs of Crystal Meth, which is also known as "Yaba" or "Ice", were found concealed in two suitcases after officers stopped a passenger.

The 39-year-old man had arrived in Dublin airport from Lesotho in Africa.

He has been questioned by Gardaí and is due to appear in court later today.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation, customs officers at Dublin airport yesterday seized €9,200 in cash from a 25-year-old Polish man who had arrived from Warsaw.

Following a court appearance this morning, he was remanded in custody for three months while gardai follow out further investigations.
