Elderly man recovered from sea off Waterford coast

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was taken from the sea at Dunmore East Harbour in Waterford.

The 66-year-old Irish man was found drifting in the water by a small crew on a fishing trawler at around 3.45am this morning.

He was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.
