Man seriously hurt in Clare crash

A man is in a serious condition in hospital following a crash in Co Clare last night.

The pedestrian was struck by a car at around 11.45pm at Coolawn Lake on the Tulla Kilkishen road.

He was taken by ambulance to Limerick regional hospital and has since been transferred to Cork Univeristy Hospital.

The road remains closed for a technical examination but is expected to reopen later this afternoon.
